Alfa Romeo 2000; Tipo 102. The Alfa Romeo 2000 was the successor of Alfa's first mass produced car, the Alfa 1900 and was introduced at the Turin Motorshow in November of 1957. The saloon version of the car was designed by Alfa's own Centro Stile, while the Spider was designed by Pininfarina. The car was equipped with a four cylinder DOHC engine with a displacement of 1975 cc, producing 105 HP at 5300 rpm and a five speed gearbox. A total of 2927 saloon cars, 706 coupes and 3445 Spiders were built, before the Alfa 2000, or 102.05, was upgraded to the Alfa 2600 or Tipo 106 in 1962.
